Winchester ER clerk Cindy Mason submits artwork to #FacesofCanadianHealthcare contest

WINCHESTER — Cindy Mason, a child of the Winchester District Memorial Hospital and an ER clerk of 35 years, has thrown her hat into the ring for the #FacesofCanadianHealthcare art contest. She is joined by healthcare workers across Canada who have also submitted photography, paintings, drawings, and digital artwork. Mason began her own submission, a painting titled “Save Us”, at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. She says it’s her most emotional piece yet.

“My goal is that my art can bring someone a smile and make their day,” Mason said.

The first prize winner with the most votes will receive $25,000 for donation to a Canadian healthcare facility, and Mason hopes to be able to win the money for the Winchester Hospital. To vote for Cindy Mason’s artwork, go to the #FacesofCanadianHealthcare website. Votes can be cast once every 24 hours until May 17th. Good luck, Cindy!
