Police bust illegal cannabis grow op on Dalhousie Street in North Glengarry; ammunition seized

NORTH GLENGARRY — Earlier this week, on May 26th, officers from the SD&G Community Street Crime Unit acquired a warrant to search a property on Dalhousie Street in North Glengarry. As a result of the search, police seized 150 cannabis plants, a quantity of dried cannabis and cannabis resin, contraband cigarettes, and ammunition.

Subsequently, 58-year-old local man Donald Lacombe was arrested and charged with:

  • Cultivate, propagate or harvest more than four cannabis plants
  • Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
  • Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition

Lacombe is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on July 7th.

SOUTH DUNDAS — On May 27th, shortly before 11:30 PM, reports of a family dispute led officers to a property on Hulbert Road in South Dundas. Police learned that an adult man at the location was breaking the conditions of his release.

38 year old local Stephen Honders was arrested and is charged with failure to comply with the conditions of a release order. Honders was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall today.
