OPP charge two North Glengarry locals in connection with recent drugs bust

NORTH GLENGARRY — Earlier this week, on June 1st, officers from the SD&G Detachment of the OPP were joined by members of the CSCU ( Community Street Crime Unit) for the execution of a search warrant at a location on Industrial Boulevard in North Glengarry Township. During the search, police seized forty cannabis plants, bear spray, and a quantity of dried cannabis.

Locals Nathaniel Dorey, 28, and Chelsea Prieur, 29, were both arrested and charged following the conclusion of the search. Dorey was charged with:

  • Cultivating, propagating or harvesting more than four cannabis plants
  • Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Distribution of illicit cannabis
  • Fail to comply with a probation order

Prieur faces charges of:

  • Cultivating, propagating or harvesting more than four cannabis plants
  • Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Distribution of illicit cannabis

Both are scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on July 7th, 2021.

South Stormont man charged with impaired driving following collision with unmarked police car

SOUTH DUNDAS — On May 31st, officers from the SD&G OPP responded to a complaint about a reckless driver on County Road 2 in South Dundas Township. Upon the arrival of officers, the vehicle, which at the time was in the drive-thru of a local restaurant, collided with an unmarked police car. Subsequently, the driver, 50-year-old Michael Boileau, was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 milligrams

The OPP would like to remind the public that a 90-day automatic drivers licence suspension and a seven-day impoundment of your vehicle accompanies any impaired driving charge. If you suspect a driver is impaired, call 9-1-1. You could be responsible for saving a life.
