SD&G Warden Frank Prevost charged with child luring following online OPP sting operation

ORILLIA — Following an online undercover operation conducted by local OPP detachments and the Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, officers arrested SD&G Warden Frank Prevost yesterday and charged him with three counts of luring a child. Prevost was also charged with one count of sexual assault in connection with a separate investigation allegedly involving an adult victim.

According to the OPP, there has been an increase in online offender behaviour, by those persons intent on the sexual exploitation of children. As a result, members of OPP CSEU are actively conducting proactive online luring investigations to aggressively target these offenders.
