CHESTERVILLE — A Bunch of People Arts and Events is at it again! This time the not-for-profit outfit invites everyone to join a fantastic Scavenger Hunt by Car!
“Grab a friend, name your team, get in your car and find the answers to the clues! First Team to win gets $100,” shouted Suzanne Millaire from across the room. Millaire is event lead.
“As a board of directors, we had to decide what, if anything we would do in 2021 for events,” Amanda Burger, founder of the organization and President of the Board, explained. “Sue, as vice-president, always has great ideas, and she suggested a Scavenger Hunt using cars to ensure we don’t get stuck because of COVID restrictions.” And now that Ontario is in Stage 3 of its reopening plan, “there is even less to worry about!” Burger exclaimed.
The Aug. 21 event starts at the Chesterville Arena. Participants are expected to check in at 10:30 a.m. The process includes signing a liability waiver and completing registration information before embarking on the hunt (with a provided list of items) at 11 a.m. Proof of a successful hunt, for most items, is done by taking a selfie and presenting all selfies to the evaluators before 2 p.m. back at the Arena. The hunt is focused on the North Dundas/ North Stormont area. Pre-registration has already begun and will continue until Aug. 21. Email abunchofpeopleartsandev
“It’s so fun! Amanda and I have already tested it out to see how long it would take and how hard it is. We had such a blast and all profits go to local charities!” Millaire declared.
A Bunch of People Arts and Events’ philosophy is: What is better than having a good time? Knowing the profits from what you enjoyed are going to help the community! That is the Art of Giving! That is A Bunch of People Arts and Events
