FINCH — Rainfall amounts are forecasted to reach up to 60 mm by early Sunday morning, which could produce possible nuisance flooding in low-lying areas of South Nation Conservation’s jurisdiction.
The local watershed authority consequently advises residents to exercise caution when near rivers as the anticipated weather may rapidly increase river flows and cause slippery riverbanks. Parents are encouraged to explain these dangers to their children. The water safety statement is in effect until Tues., Oct. 19, or until an update has been issued, says SNC.
