Long-term service awards honour 75 at WDMH

WINCHESTER — WDMH’s annual long-term service awards looked a little different again this year, but the meaning  behind them did not change. Every year, the institution celebrates staff and physicians who have reached  milestone work anniversaries at WDMH, as well as those who have retired in the past year.

Sixty staff members and physicians were honoured, as well as 15 retirees.

While everyone could not gather together to celebrate, all staff were treated to a special meal and  honourees received their long-term service award pins in small group presentations.

“As much as we work in a large and complex building, it is our people that make it a hospital,” noted  Cholly Boland, CEO. “The successes that WDMH has had over the past 70-plus years have been possible  due to the commitment of many. Each person being celebrated is part of the wonderful fabric of  WDMH and contribute to our ‘Compassionate Excellence.’”
